I tell people there’s nothing in the county other than pigs and peanuts, speaking of pigs we had ponds for pigs to wallow in and they were full of great big bullfrogs. So on Friday night we would go out frog gigging and get 50 to 100 frogs …so I fell in love with frog legs!
I was drafted during the Vietnam war… and ended up in the Presidential Honor Guard, conducted many ceremonies at the tomb of the unknown soldier and at the White House, and got to rub elbows with President Nixon, Jackie Onassis, Henry Kissinger, and John Kennedy Jr.
